Internet Communications Survival Tips:
1. NEVER send account information (account numbers, passwords) via email. Internet email is vulnerable to malicious hackers.
2. When entering any financial data on any form, ALWAYS check and make sure you see the little padlock in the lower right hand corner of your browser window and/or the web address starts with https://…… Notice the “S,” that means “secure” which means “encrypted.” Encryption scrambles the data on one end, and sends the data with a key to descramble it on the receiving end. (Public email systems do not do this.)
